The following information constitute of the admission critera and fees application to the various undergraduate programmes and diploma courses in the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.

B.Sc. Agriculture - A22, B.Sc. Management of Agroecosystems and Environment - A26 , B.Sc. Food Science and Technology - A24, B.Sc. Food, Nutrition and Dietetics - A90, Bsc. Range Management - A25, B.Sc. Agribusiness Management - A87, Bachelor of Agricultural Education and Extension - A83, Dip. Crop Protection - A138

Minimum Admission Requirements for degree programmes:

  1. KCSE (Mean grade C+) with grade C in Biology or Biological Sciences; Physics and Chemistry or Physical Sciences; and Mathematics; or
  2. Advanced Level Certificate: Two principal passes in Biology and Chemistry; and at least a subsidiary pass in Maths or a credit pass in Maths or Physics at ‘O’ level; or
  3. Relevant Ordinary Diploma from a recognized Agricultural or Veterinary college with a credit pass; or
  4. A Relevant Higher National Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution; or
  5. A relevant degree in Biology or related sciences.

Minimum Admission Requirements for Dip. Crop Protection:

  1. KCSE (Mean C) with passes at C- or above in Biology or Chemistry; or c. B.A. Quantity Surveying/ B. Construction Management: Physics or Physical Sciences; and Geography or Accounts or Commerce or Economics or Building Construction or Drawing and Design.
  2. Advanced Level Certificate (EAACE or KACE) with two Principal passes; or
  3. Higher National Diploma in Science courses, Education (Science), Computer Studies, Statistics or Applied Sciences; or
  4. A Degree from a recognized university.
  5. And any other relevant criteria listed in the General Admissions Criteria.

Minimum Admission Requirements for Dip. in Estate Agency and Property Management:

  1. KCSE (Mean Grade C) or equivalent with minimum C in Mathematics and English; or
  2. KCE (Div. II) with credits in Mathematics and English or Div. III plus a certificate in an equivalent professional training course.
  3. KACE with at least one principal pass or equivalent qualification
  4. Degree and Diploma holders in respective areas of study.

5. And any other relevant criteria listed in the General Admissions Criteria.

B.Sc. Biomedical Technology - J38, B. Veterinary Medicine - J30, B.Sc. Wildlife Management and Related Options - J42, Diploma in Animal Health and Production - J143

Minimum Admission Requirements for Degree Programmes in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine .

  1. KCSE (Mean C+) or its equivalent in addition a grade of at least C (plain) in Option A (Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Physics/ Geography or any Group IV subject) or Option B (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematics/Geography/ or any Group IV subject); or
  2. Holders of a degree in a Biological Science from a recognized institution..
  3. Advanced Level Certificate (EAACE or KACE) with two Principal pass and at least a subsidiary pass one which must be in Biology and the other in any science subject.
  4. KCSE (Mean C-) or with an ordinary Diploma in Animal Health, Agriculture, or Medical Laboratory Technology from a Recognized institution.

Minimum Admission Requirements for the Diploma:

  1. KCSE (Mean C) or its equivalent in addition a grade of at least C(plain) in Option A (Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Physics/ Geography or any Group IV subject) or Option B (Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences and Mathematics/Geography/ or any Group IV subject); or
  2. Holders of KCE Division II with at least a credit in Chemistry, Biology and any other one Science Subject or Physical Science and Biology.
  3. Advanced Level Certificate (EAACE or KACE) with one Principal passes and at least a subsidiary pass in Chemistry and Biology.
  4. KCSE (Mean C-) or KCE Division III with Certificate in Animal Health/ Agriculture from a recognized institution
  5. A Diploma in Biomedical discipline from a recognized university.
  6. And any other relevant criteria listed in the General Admissions Criteria.
