CAVS Management Board team together with University of Botswana research benchmarking team. Healthy research policies at the College have progressively developed for more than a half a century and are in line with Millennium Development Goals and the University of Nairobi vision.
College of Agriculture was privileged to host guests from University of Botswana. The delegates, who were on a research benchmarking mission, got a rare opportunity of interacting with College lecturers and students. They also toured the college’s milk processing plant, research centers and Institutes within the college.
During their interaction with the College Principal, Prof. Mwangombe, they were informed that the College’s research projects thrive in partnerships with globally acknowledged organizations such as IGAD, EU and COMESA. Additionally, they contribute immensely towards achieving Millennium Development Goals.
“Most of the research projects at CAVS are anchored under research policies whose strategies are of interest to National, East African, African and Global levels” she said.
Research at CAVS has developed in the past 58 years through healthy partnerships, skilled research training, sensitization of academic staff members on intellectual property regulations, commercialization of research products and support offered, environmental programs integration and revision of curriculum after every four years.
