Students had a chance to shape their lives and discover their hidden opportunities thanks to a mentorship seminar by Mr. Lennard Asher, the Director of Empowerment Resource Technologies.
The seminar dubbed “Making the Best while in Campus” was aimed at nurturing resourceful students and better citizens.
While taking them through the dos and don’ts of campus life, Mr. Asher emphasized on the essence of having an all rounded individual. He further challenged the students to; focus on academic excellence since it is the key objective in joining the University, have an admirable personality by taking control of their character and personal lives, be spiritually strong through constant prayers, have an admirable social character through relating well with others and having a strong family connection.
He recapped his gratifying speech by reminding them that campus is a place of hidden opportunities and these opportunities should be perceived mentally.
“Campus is a place to acquire knowledge and wisdom; the science of living and existing. A hub of tests and temptations that enable one to nurture true personality that shapes an individual’s attitude and performance,” he said.
This seminar was facilitated by Prof. Agnes Mwang’ombe, the Principal CAVS. The College is a leader in offering student mentorship seminars at the University of Nairobi.
