The Workshop titled ‘Lecturer Didactic Training Workshop’ was aimed at equipping lecturers with teaching and research skills that will further improve their delivery to undergraduate and graduate students.
University of Nairobi Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs, Prof. Henry Mutoro, opened the ‘Lecturer Didactic Training Workshop’ that was organized by Prepare BSc Team.
During the opening ceremony he hailed the initiative by the project’s Principal Investigator, Prof. Wahome and termed it as noble. He also recommended that Prepare BSc Project team up with Centre for Pedagogy & Andragogy (CEPA).
The Workshop was focused towards enhancing the research and academic quality of undergraduates and graduate students at the University of Nairobi. The lecturers had the opportunity to discuss skills and methods that will further enable their students, the trainees, to adopt new learning approaches that prepare them for the tasks and challenges ahead. It also had mentorship programmes will contribute to the transformations required in approaches to learning at the University.
