will be selling various categories of livestock at Machanga Field Station,
Embu between 29th September 2016 and 2nd October 2016.

Among the livestock to be sold include goats and cattle.

         Wangari Maathai Institute's 2014/2015 PhD class, Prof. Njoroge Karanja and some members of KENVO

Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies' 2014/2015 PhD class visited the Kijabe Environment Volunteers(KENVO) as part of their experiential learning. KENVO is a community based organisation with membership drawn from the local residents bordering the Keirita Forest. KENVO works to conserve the biologically rich Kikuyu Escarpment Forests and other natural resources in Lari Division for their biodiversity importance and support to the livelihoods of the local community.

                          Prof. Kiama, Ag. Principal - CAVS & Director, Wangari Maathai Institute Receiving the Medals from Student Leaders

The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences teams have performed extremely well in various leagues and tournaments scooping several trophies. The teams presented the trophies to the Acting Principal, Professor S. G. Kiama during a meeting held in the Principal’s office. Professor S.G. Kiama congratulated the teams for the excellent performance and urged them to keep up with the same spirit.
