Sale of LiveStock

The University of Nairobi, College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences
will be selling various categories of livestock at Kibwezi Field Station,

Ms Carolyne Kyalo staff in this department on 20-23 May 2019 participated in a Regional workshop on sharing of information, knowledge and experiences in African forestry at Nairobi safari club, Kenya She presented a paper on “Carbon sequestration and livelihood support of Melia volkensis to communities of South Eastern Kenya”. The conference was organized by the African Forest forum (AFF) which was commemoration to a 10th anniversary of its work on African forestry. On May 22, 2019 a celebration, including a launch of eight training compendiums on various aspects of climate change in forestry, as well as a book titled, “The State of Forestry in Africa: Opportunities and Challenges took place at Karura forest in Nairobi Kenya. The event was organized by AFF in collaboration with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI). In the event, several video and books documentaries were shared where Carolyne “voice to forest” was featured. She is one of AFF- HALF scholarship beneficiary. Over 100 actors in African forestry were in attendance inclusive of former Kenyan Presidential candidate Prof. Ole Kiyapi.
